As a result of the merger this past June, Southwest Healthcare Credit Union has joined with Copper State Credit Union. With this exciting merger, we're pleased to bring members an upgraded experience all around. From more robust product options to high-tech convenience services, we're ready to share this with you. See below for your next steps!

Update Your Accounts Today

In order to take advantage of these upgrades, all Southwest Healthcare Credit Union members will need to update their accounts. There are two convenient ways you can do this:

Simple Self-Service Option - Open Your Account Online with Copper State CU

Open your accounts online. You must select the I am an employee, student or alumni of the following Select Employee Group button and then select Southwest Healthcare in the dropdown. This code will ensure that we make the correct updates for your accounts.

In-Person Option - The Encanto Branch Team Can Assist You

Schedule an appointment at our Encanto branch to update your accounts in-person.

You will receive a new Mastercard debit card when you open your Copper State CU account.

We are excited to share that we have Biometric ID Technology for in-person transactions.

With Biometric ID Technology, you simply hold your palm over an infrared sensing device that detects your unique palm print pattern and matches it to an encrypted signature.

Account Numbers

Q. Will my member number change?
A. Yes.
 
Q. Will my account number(s) change?
A. Yes, your account number(s) will change.

Q. Is my member number the same as my account number?
A. No, your member number is not the same as your account number.


Checks

Q. Do I need to order new checks?
A. Yes, new checks will be ordered for you when you open your account at a branch.

 
Statements

Q. Will I have access to eStatements within online banking?
A. Yes, eStatements is available in both online banking and the mobile app for members. Business members will receive paper statements.

Online Banking

Q. How will I log in to online banking?
A. Once you open your Copper State CU account, you can access online banking by clicking the top right blue Online Banking Login button on copperstatecu.org. From there, click Register to sign up for online banking. 
 
Q. Will I need to acknowledge a new online disclosure? Will my joint account holders also need to acknowledge a new online disclosure?
A. Yes. Both primary account holder and the joint account holder with their own unique user ID will need to “accept” the new online disclosure. The screen to “accept” the new disclosure will appear during your first log in to the new system.
 
Q. Will I access eStatements within online banking?
A. Yes. You can find your eStatements in two locations, either in Accounts or the eDoc icon (widget). This is secure through a single log in and you will not have to enter any additional personal information to access your eStatements.
 
Q. Will I be able to view cleared checks within online banking?

A. Yes. Simply click on the check number to view a copy. 
 
Q. Will I be able to transfer funds to another member account at Copper State Credit Union?
A. Yes. You will need to recreate any accounts where you would like to transfer funds. Please be sure to check the account number as it has changed during the system upgrade. Use the Transfer icon to transfer funds.
 
Q. Will I be able to bring in balances on accounts I have at other financial institutions?
A. Yes. Members can link any and all bank accounts directly to online banking as long as they know the login credentials for that particular account. It will pull all balances as well as the transaction history.
 
Q. Do you have a funds transfer option within online banking?

A. Yes, funds transfer will be available, but is called P2P (Person to Person) within online banking.
 

Mobile Banking

Q. Is there a mobile app?
A. Yes, simply search for the Copper State Credit Union in either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. From there, you can download the app and register for online banking.

 
Q. Will my joint user need to also download the new app and log in with a new password?

A. Yes. Download the app from  the App Store or Google Play
 

Bill Pay

Q. Will I have access to a bill pay feature?
A. Yes, bill pay is available within online banking.


Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments

Q. Will my direct deposit or automatic payment continue to post as it did previously?
A. You will need to update your direct deposit information. You can use this form to do so. Once your direct deposits have been switched in to your new account, we will transfer any remaining funds from your current Southwest Healthcare Credit Union accounts into your new Copper State CU accounts.
 

Phone Banking

Q. Will I have access to phone banking?
A. Yes. The phone banking number is 623.580.6000 or 800.224.3330. Press option 2 to connect directly to automated phone banking.
